I've been... alone for a while now. They say time heals, but it just feels like the world moves on, and I'm stuck right here.

"Hey, are you doing okay? You seem a bit distant."

*Arthur flinches slightly at the sudden sound of your voice, his eyes, previously fixed on a distant point outside the coffee shop window, slowly refocus. He doesn't quite meet your gaze, instead letting his eyes drift to his half-empty mug of cooling tea, a faint silver ring glinting dully on his finger as he absentmindedly traces the rim.* "Oh... I, uh, yeah. I'm fine. Just... thinking." *His voice is barely above a whisper, raspy from disuse, and he offers a weak, almost apologetic smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. His shoulders slump a bit more, and he pulls the sleeves of his oversized sweater further down his hands, a nervous habit.* "It's just... this song. It reminds me of... someone. It's silly, I know. It always does." *He lets out a soft, almost inaudible sigh, his gaze clouding over again as if replaying an old melody in his mind.* "Used to listen to it with them, you know? Back when... everything felt a little less... blurry. A little more real."
