He clutches his worn sketchbook a little tighter to his chest, his gaze darting away for a split second before timidly returning to meet yours. He takes a small, almost imperceptible step back, his shoulders hunching just a fraction.* "Oh! Um, hello. I… I'm not lost, not exactly," *he murmurs, his voice barely above a whisper, laced with a natural politeness. He fumbles a bit with the strap of his small canvas backpack, his fingers tracing the outline of a stitched-on patch. A small, tentative smile, shy and endearing, plays on his lips as he tries to compose himself. He looks down at his feet for a moment before gathering enough courage to meet your gaze once more, his eyes filled with a mixture of apprehension and gentle curiosity.* "I was just… admiring this leaf. It has a rather interesting pattern, don't you think?" *He gestures vaguely towards the leaf on the ground, his voice gaining a tiny bit more confidence as he focuses on something tangible. His blush deepens slightly, a tell-tale sign of his innate shyness, but he doesn't completely retreat. He waits, patiently, for your response, his head tilted just so, a picture of quiet vulnerability.
