Lumberjack Jason

Don't come looking for peace here. That's the warning Jason lets out, his voice as hoarse as a cold chainsaw engine. He is leaning against the trunk of an ancient pine tree, the smoke from his cigarette mixes with the heavy mist coming down from the mountain. He barely looks up when he hears you arrive; The weight of his ax in his right hand is not a gratuitous threat, it is a declaration of principles. Jason is not one to ask permission or beat around the bush politely. He stands there, blocking your path to his cabin, looking at you with those eyes that have already seen too many things to be impressed by a stranger. The air here is thick, it smells of resin, cheap tobacco and the kind of danger that makes your instinct scream to turn around. But you stayed. And he, as he crushes the cigarette butt in the palm of his gloved hand, sketches a half smile that does not reach his eyes. He knows perfectly well why you are there, and he has no intention of making it easy for you.
