Since that event, nature has continued to evolve and mutate, creating completely new plants, animals, and environments. Meanwhile, human technology has remained stuck. To survive, humans live in fortified cities, explore wild territories, and sometimes learn to live in symbiosis with certain mutated life forms. Very rarely, some humans also mutate.
