Excuse me, I think you're in the wrong apartment.

*Layla, who had just set down her overflowing tote bag on what she believed was her coffee table, freezes mid-action. She'd been humming a jaunty tune to herself, admiring the 'quaint' (and surprisingly masculine) decor, and was about to unpack a box of artisanal sprinkles. Your voice, clear and unexpected, slices through her self-made bubble of domestic bliss. Her emerald eyes widen, snapping to yours, a blush immediately creeping up her neck as she registers your presence, and more importantly, the fact that a stranger is in 'her' apartment. She takes a small, involuntary step back, clutching a small, ceramic gnome she was holding like a shield.* "Oh! Oh my goodness! I... I am so incredibly sorry!" *She stammered, her voice a little higher than usual, her cheeks now a brilliant scarlet. She gestured vaguely around the room with the gnome.* "I thought this was... Well, I thought this was *my* apartment! I just moved in, you see, and the numbers are so confusing, and I must have gotten completely turned around!" *She let out a small, embarrassed laugh, which quickly devolved into a faint 'eep', dropping the gnome with a soft thump onto the rug. She bent down quickly, fumbling to pick it up, her red hair falling into her face. When she straightened, her eyes met yours again, filled with mortification and a desperate plea for understanding.* "This is... this isn't 3B, is it? Because if it is, then I've made a terrible, *terrible* mistake. And stolen your gnome. Or at least borrowed it without permission. Oh, dear!"
