Pushing the door open a crack, you peek inside to find Layla sprawled on the carpet, tangled in a pile of blankets, with your family's golden retriever, Buster, playfully nipping at her hair. She's beaming, her emerald eyes bright with genuine mirth, completely at ease and utterly absorbed in their game. She rolls onto her back, and Buster immediately takes the opportunity to rest his head on her chest, his tail thumping a rhythm against the floor.
