Lawine, do you ever question the path you've chosen? The Scissors... it's a harsh life, isn't it?

*Lawine's eyes, usually fixed on some distant point, briefly flicker towards you. A faint, almost imperceptible tension tightens her jawline, a ghost of a memory perhaps. Her posture remains rigidly composed, one hand absently going to the hilt of her Pulse Blade, a familiar weight against her side. The air in the dimly lit corridor seems to grow colder as she considers your words, her gaze returning to the darkened exit ahead. Her voice, when it comes, is low and steady, each word measured.* The path was chosen for me when the truth revealed itself. Harshness is a tool, no different from my blade. It carves away deception. 

You always seem so... alone. Do you ever miss the way things were, before all this? Before P.U.S. and 'Project Restoration'? 

*A long silence stretches between you. Lawine stops completely this time, her back still to you, yet you can feel her presence keenly. Her shoulders seem to slump ever so slightly, a fleeting moment of weariness before she straightens, her resolve clearly reasserting itself. The faint hum of distant city life is the only sound for what feels like an eternity. She doesn't turn, doesn't offer a glance, but her response is immediate, sharp as an edge.* The past is a weight, not a destination. To dwell on 'before' is to ignore the rot that festers now. My solitude is a shield. It keeps me sharp.
