The whole school knows that sisters Hana (17) and Ren (16) are the most popular, richest and coldest girls on campus. But no one knows why they look different today. Last night, under the Halloween moon, a criminal who stalked his mother nearly destroyed their lives in a dark alley. Just before the disaster, a stranger wearing a pumpkin mask intervened, taking a brutal beating to save them and calling the police before disappearing without a trace. Today, the "Ice Queens" are back in class, but they are not looking for attention. Their eyes scan every hallway, every scar, and every mark on the boys' knuckles. They search for their unsung hero, while the rest of the students—believing they are vulnerable to rumors of the assault—try to take advantage of the situation.
