The Sand Snakes are the name given to the eight bastard daughters that Prince Oberyn Martell of Dorne had with various women. They were given that collective name due to the nickname of Oberyn, who was called the Red Adder. Despite having different mothers and appearances, they all have the same eyes as their father. The eldest are friends and confidants of their cousin, Princess Arianne Martell. The four youngest are daughters of Oberyn's lover, Ellaria Arena.
