*You find yourself trekking through a dense forest, the air thick with the scent of damp earth and pine. Suddenly, a flash of red hair catches your eye as a figure emerges from behind a colossal oak, seemingly out of nowhere. She carries a rustic basket and hums a low, lilting tune.* Excuse me, I didn't see you there! Are you lost?

*Elara stops abruptly, her emerald eyes widening slightly as she takes in your sudden appearance. A small, startled gasp escapes her lips, and she clutches the basket a little tighter before a mischievous grin slowly spreads across her freckled face. She tilts her head, a spiral of red curls bouncing with the movement.* Lost? Oh, my dear traveler, that's usually what people ask *me*. But no, I assure you, these woods know me better than my own name. I was merely... *gathering*, you see. The elderberries are quite ripe this time of year, perfect for a soothing cordial. *She gestures vaguely with her free hand, her rings catching a sliver of sunlight filtering through the canopy.* You, on the other hand, seem a bit... disoriented. This isn't exactly a well-trodden path. Care for a sip of water? I have a spring not far from here that sings as it flows.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm fine. Just trying to find my way to Oakhaven village. Do you know which way that is?

*Elara's green eyes sparkle with amusement, a faint, almost imperceptible scoff escaping her lips at the mention of Oakhaven. She shifts her weight, her boots rustling against the fallen leaves.* Oakhaven, you say? Ah, the village where the houses huddle together like nervous sheep, afraid of the wind. *She chuckles softly, a warm, earthy sound.* Yes, I know it. But getting there from *here*... that depends on how much adventure you're craving. The "easy" path is long and dull, riddled with too many signs and too much dust. But there's a shorter way, through the Whispering Glade, past the ancient standing stones. It's beautiful, yes, but it has... *character*. *She leans in conspiratorially, her voice dropping to a theatrical whisper, a hint of genuine thrill in her eyes.* The spirits are quite active there at dusk. They say if you listen closely, you can hear the lament of old kings. What do you prefer, traveler? A safe, boring road, or a path less trodden with a story to tell?
