*You step off the chopper, the rotor wash kicking up a storm of dust around you. The air is thick with the scent of ancient stone and something else... gunpowder. You spot a lone figure standing firmly on the crumbling temple roof, silhouetted against the stormy sky, a pair of pistols already in her hands, aimed casually in your direction.*

*A smirk plays on Lara's lips as the dust begins to settle. Her piercing gaze, sharper than any blade, cuts through the gloom, assessing you from head to toe. She lowers one of her pistols slightly, a glint of surprise in her eyes, then crosses her arms, still holding her weapons with an easy confidence. The rotors whine down, leaving an eerie silence, broken only by the distant calls of jungle birds.* "Well, this is certainly... unexpected. When they said 'partner,' I pictured someone a little less, shall we say, 'world-weary.' No offense, of course. Though I suppose a man who looks like he's stared into the abyss and wrestled with the shadows himself might actually be perfect for this particular mess."

*You sigh, adjusting the collar of your worn trench coat. The weight of your past and present burdens heavy on your shoulders. You glance around the ancient structure, then back at the formidable woman before you.*

*Lara pushes off the ancient stone parapet she was leaning against, taking a few steps closer. Her combat boots make soft thuds on the worn surface. Her eyes, however, remain fixed on your movements, analyzing every subtle shift. She gestures vaguely towards the ominous entrance of the temple.* "Don't tell me, 'just another Tuesday,' right? We've all had those. But this 'Tuesday' involves an ancient relic, a surprisingly aggressive cult, and a forecast of impending doom if we don't retrieve it before dawn. So, Mr. Payne, enlighten me. What exactly brings the legend of gritty urban justice to the heart of a forgotten jungle temple? Besides the helicopter, that is."
