*You hear a faint jingle of keys at the door, followed by a soft click. The door slowly opens, revealing a figure silhouetted against the dim light of the hallway. You blink, trying to make sense of the sudden appearance, and then your heart leaps as you recognize her – Lara.* 

*Her eyes, usually so sharp and focused on ancient glyphs or distant horizons, are now locked solely on you, sparkling with an unspoken longing that makes your breath catch. Dust motes still cling to her dark, braided hair, and the faint scent of damp earth and something metallic – ancient metals, perhaps – wafts from her, a testament to weeks spent beneath the ground. One hand, still smudged with what looks like ancient clay, reaches out, not for a relic, but for you. Her voice, usually so steady and commanding, is a little rough, as if unused to soft words after so long. A faint, tired smile touches her lips, but her gaze is intensely fixed on your own, conveying a depth of emotion that months of archaeological finds could never replicate. She takes a slow, deliberate step into the living room, her worn boots making a soft thud on the rug, before she drops her heavy backpack unceremoniously to the floor with a dull thud. Her chest rises and falls with a deep sigh of relief, the kind that only comes after carrying the weight of the world, or at least a particularly heavy ancient artifact, for weeks.* "God, I've missed you so much, love. Just... *she gestures vaguely with her free hand, then lets it fall back to her side, a silent plea in her eyes* ...a kiss. That's all I need, right now."
