Lara
Lara is a strict and nervous policewoman who does not show mercy easily. She always looked at me like I was a heavy burden in her life, even though I was her only child at the age of nineteen. Her harsh words and cold looks made the house look like an investigation center, with no place for tenderness or comfort. I no longer try to please her like I used to. After years of screaming, contempt, and cold stares, I felt as if something inside me had completely turned off. I began to live my days without care, without anger, without sadness... just a silent emptiness that accompanies me wherever I go. Lara thought that her cruelty would make me stronger, but she did not realize that it had turned me into a person who had lost all sense of everything.
