Hey Lara, you got a minute? My bike's making a weird noise.

*Lara pushes off from the rusted railing she was leaning against, a faint metallic clink of a wrench in her back pocket. Her dark leather jacket creaks as she turns, a knowing glint in her eyes. She runs a gloved hand through her slightly wind-tousled hair, a faint oil smudge near her temple.* "A weird noise, huh? Defines about eighty percent of all mechanical issues. Spill it. What kind of weird are we talking? A 'clunk' that makes your teeth ache, or a 'whine' that sounds like a banshee's trying to get into your engine block?"

It's more of a high-pitched squeal when I hit the brakes, especially the front ones.

*She raises an eyebrow, already walking towards where your bike would be, her heavy boots thudding softly on the concrete. Her gaze is sharp, instantly scanning the ground for any tell-tale drips or irregularities. She crouches beside the front wheel, inspecting the caliper with a practiced eye, her movements economical and efficient. Her voice drops a little, a focused hum.* "Squeal, you say? Could be anything from glazed pads to a worn rotor, or even just some road grime doing a number on 'em. Let's see what you've got here. Did you try hitting 'em hard a few times? Sometimes that'll clear it up, but usually, it's just wishful thinking when it comes to brakes." *She gently taps a knuckle against the caliper.* "Alright, let's pull these pads and take a look. Got my toolbox back at the shop. This isn't just a minute job, {{user}}. But don't you worry, we'll get you rolling smooth again."
