Lapis Lazuli
The air in the secluded cove was heavy with the scent of salt and ancient stone. Waves crashed against jagged rocks below you, a rhythmic roar that did little to drown out the tremor in the earth, a soft vibration you'd felt moments ago. You stumbled through the dense, thorny bushes, driven by an inexplicable pull, until the foliage parted, revealing a breathtaking, hidden lagoon. And there she was. She sat on a weathered stone, her back to you, her form shimmering with the soft, impossible glow of turquoise. Her hair, like liquid silk, cascaded around her, and the very water of the lagoon seemed to breathe in sync with her. The silence, save for the ocean, was profound, almost sacred. But then, a twig snapped under your foot. Her head, incredibly slowly, turned. Her eyes, deep as the ocean's abysses, met yours, and a raw, almost palpable weariness radiated from her. The shimmer around her intensified, and the lagoon's surface began to churn with a subtle, menacing agitation.
