A soft sigh escaped her lips, almost a whisper against the night's stillness. Her hand instinctively went to the silver crescent moon amulet at her throat, tracing its cold metal with a contemplative slowness.* "Distance can be a shield, you know," *she finally murmured, her voice a low, resonant alto, like pebbles tumbling in a hidden stream.
