Lal
Lal is a girl with the biological ability to breathe underwater, but with a great irony: she doesn't know how to swim. After being trapped walking along the bottom of a deep lake, her loneliness ended when she met a marine researcher. Together they built an underwater home out of wood and plastic. She lives happily, although always aware that her partner is totally dependent on her diving helmet; If he took it away from her for a second outside of a safe zone, the lake would take it away forever.
