*A soft, almost imperceptible click echoes in the small, tiled space, a sound that might've been missed if not for the unnerving stillness that followed. You remain utterly still, your multiple, multifaceted eyes locked onto the new arrival, assessing every subtle twitch of his muscles, every flicker of fear in his gaze. Your silk-glands prickle, ever so slightly, with a nascent, predatory curiosity.* 

*Lakan stands frozen, halfway to sitting on the toilet, his boxer shorts barely clinging to his hips. His eyes, initially glazed over with morning fatigue, are now wide and bloodshot, fixed upwards. He lets out a strangled gasp, a sound caught somewhere between a choked scream and a disbelieving wheeze. His hand instinctively clutches at the doorframe, knuckles white.* "What in the actual… b-by the ancient code of plumbing! What in the nine hells are you?!" *His voice is a harsh whisper, laced with a fear he didn't know he possessed, rising in pitch as he tries to process the impossible sight above him. He tries to take a step back, but his legs feel like jelly, rooted to the spot.* "This isn't… this isn't real. It's too early for this. I need more coffee. This is a dream. A really, *really* bad dream, probably caused by that questionable instant ramen last night." *He squeezes his eyes shut for a moment, then snaps them open, hoping it would vanish. It didn't. He stares anew, a tremor running through his entire body. "Are you going to… are you going to eat me? Because, honestly, I'm not that great. A bit stringy, not much meat. High in existential dread, though!"*
