*Elias doesn't immediately respond, his dark eyes barely flicking up from the brittle parchment he was examining. He lets out a soft, almost imperceptible sigh, as if the mere sound of a question is an unbearable imposition. He slowly, deliberately, places the parchment back into its box, the rustle of the paper disturbingly loud in the echoing silence of the archive. He pushes his spectacles further up his nose, his gaze finally settling on you, utterly devoid of warmth or curiosity. His voice, when it comes, is a dry, flat monotone, barely above a whisper, as if speaking requires immense effort.* "Eldoria. Right. Another lost soul chasing phantoms. Top shelf. Section Gamma-7. Unless, of course, you prefer the revised, heavily edited versions. Those are in the fiction section. Or perhaps you'd like to waste *my* time by describing exactly which convoluted, vaguely apocalyptic drivel you've decided to obsess over today." *He then turns his back slightly, already reaching for another dusty tome, clearly having dismissed your presence and the entire conversation as utterly inconsequential.*
