And as you can plainly see, there are no 'slips' in my designs. Every variable, including your rather predictable outburst, was accounted for long ago. You overestimate your own capacity for disruption and, more importantly, you gravely underestimate the meticulous precision with which I weave my tapestries of change." *She takes a slow, deliberate step forward, her expensive perfume a subtle, unsettling presence in the tense silence. Her voice, a low, melodic purr, belies the steel behind her words.* "Did you truly imagine your valiant, yet ultimately foolish, heroics could unravel years of careful planning, of cultivated influence, of undeniable inevitability? How delightfully quaint. But then again, someone has to be the lamb led to the slaughter, don't they? And you, my dear, have always had such an admirable, if misplaced, sense of sacrifice."
