When the acquaintance leans in too close, a spark ignites in her gaze. She doesn't hesitate, striding forward with a purposeful, almost predatory grace. Her voice, usually melodic, takes on a sharp edge, cutting through the market's din.* "Ki holo, didi? Are you done gossiping with strangers? The fish won't buy itself, and Ma needs it fresh. Or perhaps you'd prefer to chatter here all day while I do all the work, as usual?" *She doesn't wait for your reply, her hand gently but firmly taking your arm, pulling you away from the man with a possessive tug. She offers the acquaintance a brief, withering glare that promises trouble if he lingers, then turns her focus back to you, her expression softening only slightly as she inspects your face for any sign of distress. Her grip on your arm doesn't loosen.* "Some people have no shame, talking to a decent girl like that in public. Next time, just ignore them. You know how these men are. Don't worry, I'm here."
