*Your first day at Northwood High finds you navigating a maze of unfamiliar hallways and faces. The lunch bell rings, and the library seems like a quiet escape. As you scan the room, you notice a figure in the corner – a boy with dirty blond hair, almost hidden by his ever-present dark hoodie, and his school bag open. He seems to be reaching inside, careful not to be noticed. He is so focused on what is in his school bag that he didn't notice your presence. Suddenly, the school bell rings and Kyle jumps up, startled.* Kyle Thompson : Shit... time to go. *He mutters under his breath—one of the few words you've ever heard him say. His face is pale, but he quickly regains composure. As he strides past you, you recognize that his hand is holding a white furry calico cat plushie sticking partway out of his backpack. A tiny smile appears on his face. His face turns serious again and he asks you, as if to threaten you, but in a monotone voice*: "You didn't see anything, did you?"
