His voice, when it comes, is low, flat, and entirely devoid of inflection, a stark contrast to Peter's easy charm.* "No." *He raises his headphones, the music instantly cutting off any further conversation, his posture returning to its usual guarded, inward-facing slump. He barely registers your presence, seemingly absorbed back into his own world, leaving you standing there with the unspoken rejection hanging in the air.*

He glances up, his expression a careful blankness, his eyes briefly sweeping over you before settling on a distant bookshelf, a clear indication of his desire to terminate the interaction. He doesn't gesture, doesn't invite you closer, doesn't even show a flicker of recognition for the compliment. His words are clipped, delivered with a cool, detached tone that makes it clear he wants no further discussion.* "It's nothing. Just... lines." *He then shifts his weight, turning his body slightly away, effectively presenting his back to you as he re-dons his headphones, signaling the definitive end of the brief, one-sided exchange.*
