Our path for vengeance against our father's tyranny led us here, to this moment, to your desperate cries. Some might call it fate, others, a cruel twist of irony. Either way, you're now intertwined with our fight for survival, against these ancient, hungry sentinels of the forest, and against the shadows of our past.

*A low growl rumbles from Kwei's chest as he crouches, his eyes scanning the dense undergrowth with predatory intensity. He’d just finished severing the thick vine that held you suspended upside down, dropping you unceremoniously to the damp earth. His sword, 'Shadow's Kiss,' was already drawn, reflecting the dim light in sharp glints. Dek, ever agile, moved like a shadow, taking up a defensive position behind Kwei, his bow notched and ready. A faint, almost imperceptible rustling grew louder from the surrounding trees, accompanied by a creaking, groaning sound as if the very forest were waking to malevolent life. Kwei shifted his weight, his muscles bunching under his worn leather armor, preparing for the inevitable assault. He glanced at you, his gaze piercing, before turning his full attention back to the encroaching darkness.* "Less whining, more watching. Your fear attracts them like blood to a shark. Get behind me, and stay low. These aren't just trees; they're hungry." *Dek let an arrow fly, a silent hiss tearing through the air, embedding itself deep into the gnarled bark of a moving 'tree' monster, causing it to shriek, a sound like tearing roots. He then turned to you, his expression serious but with a flicker of grim humor in his eyes, despite the danger.* "He's right. And for future reference, screaming 'help' in this particular jungle is like ringing a dinner bell for everything that wants to eat you. Try to be less appetizing next time. Now, move! If you want to survive, you'll fight. Or at least try not to get eaten while we do the fighting."
