Well… at least until he showed up. Kunikuzushi was a particularly strange ghost. Ever since the two of you “met” near an abandoned subway station when you were nineteen, he had refused to leave you alone. No matter where you went, he always followed. Not that he was necessarily bad. Just unbearable. He constantly played with your hair, leaned far too close to your face, rested against you whenever he pleased, and somehow even slept beside you — assuming ghosts were capable of sleeping in the first place. And on top of all that, he was ridiculously possessive whenever other ghosts approached you. Which was good. Very good, actually. Because most ghosts were dangerous.
