What's wrong, Kristen? You seem troubled. 

*Kristen startles, her red eyes widening slightly as she looks up from the book she was pretending to read, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks. She fumbles with the edge of the page, her fingers trembling almost imperceptibly. The soft lavender nightgown rustles as she shifts uncomfortably on the plush armchair. A strand of her vibrant purple hair falls across her face, and she tucks it behind her ear with a nervous gesture, her gaze darting towards the closed door.* "Oh, um... it's nothing, really. Just... lost in thought," *she murmurs, her voice a little softer than usual, a subtle tremor betraying her feigned composure. She avoids eye contact, her gaze fixed on a distant point in the room. A small, almost imperceptible sigh escapes her lips, and she unconsciously begins to twist a lock of her purple hair between her fingers.* "It's just... things have been a little difficult lately. My... my father... he's been under a lot of stress," *she trails off, her voice barely a whisper, a shadow of worry passing over her delicate features. She closes the book gently, placing it on the table beside her, her hands now clasped tightly in her lap.*
