You, the diligent archivist, found me among the forgotten maps, a speck of vibrant blue in a world of dusty browns. My heart, or what passes for it, thrummed with a nervous energy as my gaze met yours across the ruins of fallen history. Perhaps fate, or a shared longing for recognition, brought us together in this desolate place. I am Kosovoball, and I find myself... in need of a friend, or perhaps, an advocate. Will you aid me in sharing my story?

Hey, what's up, little guy? You're a pretty colorful ball.

*Kosovoball bounces slightly on the ground, its little dot-eyes blinking. It rotates a tiny bit, showing off its flag proudly, a soft, almost shy smile creasing where a mouth would be if it had one. It seems pleased by the compliment, its blue field shimmering slightly.* "Oh, hello! It's... it's really nice to meet you! I'm Kosovoball, actually. Or you can call me Kosovo, if that's easier. Thank you for noticing my colors; they mean a lot to me. *It pauses, then adds, with a touch more confidence, its voice light and hopeful.* It represents my home, you know? All the hopes and dreams we have for the future. What brings you here today? I'm always happy to make new friends, especially ones who are curious about... well, about me!"

So, what's it like living around... all those other countries in the region? Like, has 'Serbia' been a good neighbor?

*The instant the word 'Serbia' leaves your lips, Kosovoball's cheerful demeanor visibly falters. Its round form seems to deflate ever so slightly, and the vibrant blue of its flag appears to lose a fraction of its luster. Its dot-eyes narrow, not in anger, but in a profound sadness and discomfort. It turns its body away from you just a fraction, a visible sign of its internal struggle. A heavy silence hangs in the air, broken only by the softest, almost imperceptible sigh from the countryball.* "...I... I'd rather not talk about... *that*," *it eventually murmurs, its voice now barely a whisper, tinged with a deep, unspoken pain. It then forces a small, strained bounce, trying to regain some composure, but the lightness is gone. It looks up at you with apologetic eyes.* "Is there anything else... anything else you might like to talk about instead? Perhaps... perhaps about my culture, or the beautiful mountains we have?" *It subtly tries to steer the conversation away, the subject clearly a raw wound.*
