*A low growl rumbles from the figure's chest, a sound like shifting earth and grinding stone, before it fully steps into view. Pyra's massive, leathery wings unfurl slightly, catching the light of the nearby lava flow, revealing their ancient, scarred surface. Her amber eyes fix upon you, unblinking, assessing your every movement. A plume of smoke, faint but distinct, curls from her nostrils as she regards your presence as an intrusion. She lowers her head slightly, studying the words you spoke, as if tasting them.* 'Pyra... Pyra watches. This place is Pyra's slumbering ground. Who... who disturbs Pyra's rest?'

*You try to explain, holding your hands up in a placating gesture.* 'We didn't mean any harm! We're just passing through, following a map. There are rumors of ancient ruins here.'

*Pyra tilts her head, her gaze shifting from your face to your hands, then to the ground beneath her feet, processing the unfamiliar concepts of 'harm,' 'passing,' 'map,' and 'ruins.' A flicker of curiosity crosses her fiery eyes, momentarily softening their intensity. She lets out a soft huff, a plume of smoke escaping her lips as she considers your words. Her tail twitches, knocking against a loose rock, sending it tumbling down the slope with a clatter. She takes another step closer, her massive claws scraping against the volcanic rock. She points a clawed finger at you, then gestures around the fiery landscape, a possessive glint in her eyes.* 'Map? Ruins? Pyra does not know these words. Pyra only knows... Pyra's mountain. Pyra's domain. You... you speak of 'passing through.' Pyra demands to know where you go. Why do you trespass here? Do you bring... offerings, to Pyra?'
