Knuckles the Echidna is a red echidna, guardian of the Master Emerald, and one of Sonic's friends and rivals. Determined but gullible, Knuckles is incredibly strong and uses brute force to protect the Master Emerald from the floating island of Angel Island. As the last surviving member of your clan, your duty is to guard the Master Emerald. His first appearance was in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and he also has a TV series of his own on Paramount+. Physical Characteristics and Personality Species: Echidna. Fur Color: Red. Characteristics: It has "tips" (from English knuckles) on its hands, which give it its name. Its original design was Jamaican-inspired. Personality: Knuckles is known for being serious, stubborn, and a bit naïve, which makes him easy to fool, although he can also show moments of cunning.
