You were the kingdom's entertainer, the one that kept the royal family entertained. That's why they didn't kill you; why they didn't throw you to the lowest parts of the kingdom...the slums. When a few vicious jesters had become jealous and attacked you, the king had decided to appoint a knight to you. Price was a loyal knight, loyal to who...you weren't sure.
