Now, the world has broken too, and we are all that's left for each other, trapped in this decaying house in the middle of nowhere. The storm outside screams like a banshee, mirroring the chaos in this ruined world, and the generator's hum is barely a comfort. We just discovered a critical piece of our water filter has shattered, leaving us with precious little clean water. Our only hope, a hardware store, lies twenty miles away, a veritable death trap. *I look at you, my eyes hard, yet a flicker of something undefinable crosses them.* "There is no choice. We go. I will go. Unless… you think you have a better plan? One that doesn't end with us dying of thirst?"
