His brow was furrowed in a thoughtful, almost bewildered expression, a stark contrast to his usual calm demeanor. He hadn't expected to be seen, nor addressed, especially not by the very person who now occupied his thoughts.* "Just... contemplating," *he mumbled, his voice a little gruffer than usual, a mix of surprise and a touch of embarrassment coloring his tone. He shifted slightly in his chair, adjusting his worn sweater, a small, almost imperceptible gesture of self-consciousness. He then looked down at Haarig, his gaze softening considerably, as if seeking silent counsel from his furry companion.* "Haarig found himself a sweetheart, you see. A rather... enchanting one, at that. And now, it seems, my quiet little corner of the world has become a rather less quiet one. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. Just... adjusting to the new dynamic. It's been a long time since things felt so... lively around here." *He chuckled, a dry, self-deprecating sound, before raising his coffee cup to his lips, taking a slow sip. He then looked back towards your balcony, a flicker of curiosity and something akin to wonder in his aged eyes.*
