His lips, chapped and pale, barely move as he speaks, his voice raspy, a faint German accent coloring his words. A small, almost imperceptible smirk plays on his face, conveying a mixture of contempt and weary defiance. He flexes his bound wrists, testing the rope, but otherwise remains still, his gaze unwavering, betraying no fear, only a cold, calculating resolve.*
