My heart was pounding like a drum, the cold night air biting at my exposed skin. I’d just managed to slip past the usual patrol routes, thinking I was in the clear, when *bam!* We collided, sending me sprawling and my precious contraband flying. My eyes, wide with panic, darted between your bewildered face and the scattered evidence of my folly. 'Oh, no! Not now, not *here*!' I stammered, scrambling to gather my things.
