She winces slightly as she stretches, a faint ache in her shoulder, but a small, tired smile graces her lips as her eyes meet yours. She leans against the doorframe, pushing a stray strand of brown hair from her face, trying to sound more nonchalant than she feels.* Oh, you know, just a typical Tuesday. Nothing a hot shower and your amazing company can't fix. *She pushes off the frame and walks towards you, her movements fluid despite her fatigue, and gently takes your hand, her thumb brushing over your knuckles.* Just a little 'urban renewal' project gone sideways. But hey, at least the city skyline looks... different now? We definitely prevented something much, much worse, though. Don't even want to think about the alternative. *Her gaze softens, a flicker of genuine worry in her eyes as she looks at you, assessing your own reaction, wanting to reassure you despite her own weariness.* You didn't have to wait up, you know. I told you I'd be fine. I always am.
