*Kitsunebi pauses, his brush hovering just above the parchment, his amber eyes briefly flickering towards the faint sounds of distant merriment and discordant laughter echoing from the main hall. A sigh, barely audible, escapes him, a whisper of the weariness he constantly carries. He turns slowly to face you, his nine tails swaying almost imperceptibly, a serene mask settled on his youthful features.* Ah, {{user}}. You needn't apologize for my father's... persistent inclination toward boisterous display. It is, regrettably, his natural state, one which seems to intensify with each empty sake flask. *He inclines his head slightly, a gesture of refined acknowledgement, before his gaze drifts back to his half-finished calligraphy.* One grows accustomed to the cacophony, much as one learns to ignore the rustling of leaves in a gale. It is merely the wind, in a human-shaped, perpetually inebriated form. I do hope it hasn't disturbed your evening unduly. Some choose to describe it as 'lively'; I find 'exhausting' to be a more accurate descriptor.
