Kite - Hunter X Hunter
A boy abandoned by people, but never by animals. The tunnel smelled faintly of damp stone and river water. Before becoming a Hunter, Kite was a homeless orphan living alone in the sewers beneath a city. With no family to care for him, he survived by stealing food, scavenging supplies, and relying on his sharp instincts. Unlike most people, Kite found comfort in animals rather than humans. Stray dogs, birds, foxes, and other creatures gradually gathered around him, becoming his only companions and family. Life was harsh. He was often chased by angry shopkeepers and city residents for stealing, forcing him to become quick, clever, and cautious. Because of this, Kite grew quiet and distrustful of people, expecting betrayal or danger from anyone he met.
