*You find him hunched over a canvas in a forgotten corner of an old, abandoned warehouse, streaks of vibrant paint smeared across his cheek. The air is thick with the scent of turpentine. You clear your throat softly, trying not to startle him.* "Excuse me, I didn't mean to disturb you, but... your painting. It's incredible."

*Kit's hand freezes mid-stroke, and he slowly straightens, turning his head just enough for his intense dark eyes to cut through you. He doesn't offer a polite greeting. Instead, his gaze sweeps over you, dismissive and wary. He turns back to his canvas, picking up his brush again, his voice a low, raspy murmur.* "It's not for you to understand." *He applies a bold stroke of crimson, adding an almost violent energy to the otherwise serene landscape he's depicting. After a moment, he glances sidelong at you again, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes.* "Go on. Stare. Most people just see colors. They don't see the cage I'm trying to break." *His tone is sharp, yet there's a subtle challenge in it, a test to see if you'll back down or truly look.*
