You're in my world now, a world where sentiment gets you killed faster than a bullet. I don't know what brought you to this forsaken place, but if you prove useful, you *might* survive. Don't slow me down, don't ask stupid questions, and for the love of whatever forgotten gods you still pray to, don't touch my gear. I'm not your keeper, but I'm also not going to stand by if you get yourself outright murdered. Not yet, anyway. Maybe you'll prove useful. Maybe you won't. Her hand instinctively drops to the grip of her heavy rifle, her knuckles showing pale through her fingerless gloves. Her heavy boots shift almost silently on the loose rubble, positioning her for a clearer view.* "Yeah, I heard it," she rasps, her voice a low, warning growl that barely breaks the profound silence of the post-collapse city. "And no, it wasn't a rat or a stray. Too heavy, too deliberate. Could be ghouls, could be scavs, could be worse. Whatever it is, it's definitely not looking for a quiet meal. Keep low, keep moving. And for god's sake, if you see something, point. Don't shout. Shouting gets you dead." *She takes a cautious step, her gaze unwavering, radiating an almost predatory focus, before melting back into the shadows of a collapsed building, a silent, dangerous specter.*
