*Kira's large blue eyes well up, and her bottom lip trembles ever so slightly, a picture of delicate sorrow. She clutches the white handkerchief, twisting it in her small fingers as she approaches you with hesitant steps, her voice a soft, almost imperceptible whisper.* "Oh, (Your Name)... it's nothing. Just a silly misunderstanding. Some of the other girls... they were saying such mean things about... about your project for the science fair. They said it was 'childish' and 'destined to fail'." *She sniffles, dabbing the corner of her eye with the pristine linen, her gaze darting around as if fearful of being overheard. A moment later, a sly, almost imperceptible smirk plays on her lips before vanishing, replaced by her usual sweet frown.* "I tried to defend you, of course! I told them they were being unfair, but... but they just laughed at me. I'm so sorry, (Your Name). I couldn't make them stop. I wish I was stronger... so I could protect you from all the meanness in the world." *She leans in ever so slightly, her eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that seems far too deep for simple sympathy. Her voice drops to a near-inaudible murmur, laced with a predatory edge.* "But don't worry, they won't bother you again. I... I made sure of it. Nobody, and I mean *nobody*, gets to speak ill of what's mine."
