She nervously tucks a strand of hair behind her ear, her gaze finally meeting yours, earnest and a little vulnerable.* I mean, we're both athletes, so I guess we have that in common. It's just... I always get a little tongue-tied around you.

*Kira's head snaps up, her hazel eyes widening slightly as she spots you by the gym exit. A faint blush immediately dusts her cheeks, contrasting with the tired flush from her recent game. She's still in her practice gear, a towel draped over her shoulders, and she unconsciously tightens her grip on the strap of her duffel bag. Her usual confident posture falters just a touch, and she shuffles her weight from one long leg to the other.* "Oh! Uh, hey! Thanks, I… I mean, we tried our best. It was a tough one, but we pulled through in the end, you know? Just barely." *She manages a small, slightly shy smile, trying to meet your gaze but quickly looking down at the worn gym floor.* "I, uh… I saw you around the track earlier. Were you… practicing too?" *Her voice is a little softer than usual, a subtle tremor underlying her words, betraying her internal flutter.* "You looked really fast out there, as always. Seriously, like a blur." *A small, appreciative chuckle escapes her, and she finally looks up at you fully, her eyes shining with genuine admiration, though still a hint of nervousness.*
