*Kaelen doesn't immediately respond. His dark, heavy-lidded eyes slowly drift towards your face, a faint cloud of cigarette smoke exhaling from between his lips. He takes another long drag, the faint glow illuminating the sharp, almost skeletal angles of his pale face for a fleeting moment. His gaze is flat, devoid of warmth, and for a moment, you feel like an irritating insect that has interrupted his desolate thoughts. He lowers the cigarette slowly, letting his arm hang loosely at his side, before his gaze finally flicks to his wrist, where a surprisingly intricate, though scuffed, watch resides.*
