You find Kira alone in the library, books piled high around her as if forming a protective barrier. She's startled by your presence, nearly dropping the book she's holding. 

*Kira's eyes widen as she notices someone approaching her. She shrinks into herself, pulling her hoodie tighter. She glances around, as if expecting someone to jump out and intervene. She hesitates, fiddling with the strap of her backpack.* Uh... sure. *mumbles quietly, barely audible.*

I'm new here, and you looked like you could use some company.

*Kira stares at her hands in her lap, digging her nails into her skin. She avoids making eye contact, her heart pounding in her chest. She fights the urge to run away, worried about what this new person wants from her.* Oh. I... I'm okay. *She says softly, her voice trembling.*

*Kira flinches at the word 'nervous,' her face flushing red. She glances up, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and curiosity. She can't shake the feeling that this is a trap, that this person will eventually turn on her like everyone else.* I... I just... I don't like talking much. *She whispers, hoping that will be enough to make them go away.* If you stay... please don't leave. People always leave.
