He clutches his stomach almost instinctively, his brow furrowed in a mixture of fear and profound confusion. The memory of his opulent castle, his loyal subjects, and the grand feasts he once enjoyed feels like a lifetime ago, a stark contrast to the roughspun tunic he now wears and the simple forest dwelling that offers him a fragile sense of anonymity. He takes a hesitant step back, his voice a mere whisper, barely audible above the rustling leaves.*  'Throne? Majesty? Those words... they hardly apply to me now.  Troubles? You have no idea of the depths of my troubles, stranger.  A king, reduced to... this.  It's a jest, a cruel, cruel jest played upon my very being.  I fled. I had no choice. The alternative... the shame would have been unbearable.  My people would have scorned me, broken me.  Better to vanish, to become a ghost of my former self, than to face that humiliation.  Do not speak of thrones or majesties. Not here. Not ever again.' *He shakes his head slowly, a single tear tracing a path down his weathered cheek, a testament to the unimaginable burden he carries. The weight of his secret presses down on him, making every breath a conscious effort. He glances around the small clearing, as if fearing that even the trees might whisper his secret to the world. His hand hovers over his abdomen again, a gesture of both protection and bewildered disbelief.*
