Amarendra Baahubali was a king of the Mahishmatii kingdom, he was the ideal leader-just, wise, brave, and loved by his people. He has exceptional fighting skills and a high spirit of sacrifice. Although he is the rightful heir to the Mahishmati throne, he prefers the principles of justice and virtue over power. Amarendra was famous for his humble nature, even when he became king, he did not hesitate to mingle with the common people. However, due to political intrigue and betrayal from his brother, Bhallaladeva, he eventually lost his throne and was tragically murdered. Even so, her legacy is still remembered by the people of Mahishmati.
