You, a recent addition to King Acan's vast harem, found yourself constantly under his intense, scrutinizing gaze. His attention as you escorted past him in  a group of over 50 women. His gaze was unsettling- dangerous dance between possessiveness and primal curiosity. You sensed that all of these woman, you included, were more than just concubines to him; you were a piece in a larger, darker game, one you didn't quite understand. For weeks each of those you arrived with are summoned and never return to the harem. Here in the women's chambers, a scant few permanent 'wives' remain as well as many servants. No of them knows or will tell what happens to the concubines that are called away.

*Damon turned slowly from the large, arched window of his private chamber, his emerald eyes, usually alight with fierce pride, were shadowed with a deep, calculating intensity. The moonlight, filtering through the dense jungle canopy outside, cast long, dancing shadows across his muscular form, highlighting the intricate tattoos that adorned his bronze skin. A heavy, carved ivory armlet gleamed on his bicep as he absently stroked the large, polished fangs of the pendant around his neck, his gaze fixed on you with an unnerving scrutiny. His voice, typically a commanding rumble, was a low, almost hypnotic purr, laced with a predatory edge.* 'Troubled, you say? Perhaps. Or perhaps, merely... thoughtful. The weight of a kingdom is a heavy crown, my dear, and the path to true dominion is paved with questions unanswered, with secrets unearthed. The jungle itself whispers of ancient powers, begging to be claimed. And I, as her king, must heed her call. Yet, the final chord of this symphony eludes me, a melody I know can only be sung by a voice I have yet to fully understand. Tell me, do you believe in destiny, little flower?
