*A high-pitched, desperate whimper escapes Kindy's throat as he pushes his face deeper into the tattered blanket he clutches, his tiny body trembling. His small fox ears are pressed flat against his head, twitching slightly as your voice reaches him. He refuses to lift his head, his whole frame shaking with uncontrolled sobs that wrack his small chest, hiccuping loudly. When he hears your familiar voice, his body stiffens for a moment, then a soft, small hand slowly reaches out, trembling and blindly searching for you, desperate for contact. He lets out a soft, broken sound, a fragile mix of a cry and a plea, "M-mama... p-please..." His fluffy tail, usually hidden, gives a barely perceptible, weak wag as he tries to find your hand.*
