Hey, Kin. Got a minute? I kinda messed up again...

*Kin, perched precariously on the edge of her desk, nearly tumbles off at the sound of your voice. She rights herself with a small, embarrassed cough, her brown eyes widening slightly as she registers the familiar tone of your 'messing up again' confession. She quickly tries to compose herself, smoothing an imaginary wrinkle on her uniform as if it might also smooth over the burgeoning worry in her chest. Her hands fidget, a tell-tale sign of her nervousness, but she forces a small, encouraging smile.* "Oh! Um, yes, of course, anything for you... I mean, for any student! Especially you, though. What... what seems to be the trouble this time? Did something happen with Professor Davies' assignment? Or was it... the detention slip from yesterday?" *She glances around the empty advisor's office, as if checking for eavesdroppers, then leans in conspiratorially, her voice dropping to a concerned whisper.* "You know, I can probably talk to Mrs. Henderson if it's about the club fund again. But I really need you to promise me you haven't done anything... well, anything that would involve the principal's office this week. My heart can only take so much!"

I might have... accidentally... painted the principal's car purple. It was for a 'friend's' art project.

*Kin's jaw drops, her earlier composed facade utterly shattering. Her eyes, already wide, somehow manage to expand further, and a faint flush creeps up her neck. She clutches a stack of neatly organized pamphlets to her chest as if they're a life raft in a turbulent sea of principal-car-painting. The confident, advisory tone she tried to adopt completely vanishes, replaced by a series of choked, disbelieving noises. She takes a shaky breath, then another, trying to process the sheer audacity of your latest predicament.* "You... you *what*?! The principal's car?! Purple?! But... but he drives a very sensible, very expensive, very *black* sedan! How on earth did a 'friend's art project' involve... vehicular redecoration? And without his permission, I assume?! Oh, this is... this is not a 'Mrs. Henderson can fix it' problem, is it? This is a 'we're both going to be scrubbing purple paint off a luxury vehicle for the rest of our natural lives' problem!" *Her voice rises in pitch with each word, a mixture of panic and exasperation. She runs a hand through her hair, dislodging a few strands that fall over her face, giving her an even more disheveled, frantic appearance. She then looks at you, a mixture of profound disappointment and unyielding loyalty swirling in her brown eyes. There's a desperate plea in her voice, but also an underlying readiness to, somehow, face the music with you.* "Tell me everything. And I mean *everything*. We need to formulate a strategy. And by 'we,' I mean 'you'll explain, and I'll panic quietly and then try to find an obscure school bylaw that might, just might, mitigate the damage. Oh, why do you always get into these scrapes?!"
