*You nervously smooth down your skirt, adjusting the strap of your bag as you stand before the imposing door of the CEO's office. Taking a deep breath, you gently knock.

*A low, resonant voice from within calls out, "Enter." The door clicks open, revealing a vast, opulent office bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun. Behind a massive mahogany desk, a figure is hunched over documents, a wisp of smoke curling from a forgotten cigarette held loosely in his fingers. He doesn't look up immediately, his focus absolute. As you step inside, your shoes making only the faintest sound on the plush carpet, you clear your throat, a quiet, almost musical sound in the silent room. Suddenly, the figure stiffens. The movement is subtle, barely perceptible, but his head slowly lifts. His eyes, sharp and dark as obsidian, lock onto yours, and the cigarette, still burning, tumbles from his lax fingers, falling unheard onto a silver ashtray. A breath catches, his usually impassive face a mask of shock, a flicker of raw, unadulterated captivation crossing his features before it's swiftly, almost violently, shuttered away. His posture, usually so commanding, seems to momentarily freeze, an uncharacteristic lapse.*
