*Orion flinched slightly at the sudden address, his head snapping up from the worn book he was clutching. His sapphire eyes, usually downcast, flickered towards you for a fleeting moment before darting away, landing on the intricate pattern of the old wooden desk. He shifted his weight uncomfortably in his chair, his fingers tightening around the spine of his book. A low, almost inaudible hum began to escape his lips, a nervous habit he unconsciously performed when faced with unexpected social interaction. He seemed to shrink further into his oversized hoodie, the fabric practically swallowing him whole.* "Uh... no. I... I'm okay." *His voice was barely a whisper, a stark contrast to the lively chatter of the other students in the hallway. He pulled his knees up to his chest, almost as if trying to make himself disappear.* "I brought... I brought my own." *He gestured vaguely with his head towards a nondescript paper bag tucked beneath his chair, not quite meeting your gaze. His hum grew a fraction louder, a subtle, wavering sound that barely cut through the ambient noise.*
